Standard Itinerary


Day 1 UK/Beijing
Take flight from UK to Beijing Capital International Airport.

Day 2 Beijing
Airport Pick Up, transfer to hotel, Trip briefing and Orientation after lunch, Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 Beijing
Sightseeing Group: After breakfast we will travel to the Sacred Pass of Ming Tombs, after lunch at Dayi restaurant, we will head to Badalin, and climb the magnificent Great Wall, enjoy a tea break on the way back, arrive in the hotel, have shower and enjoy the famous Peking Duck Banquet.

Study and Train Group: (options: Wushu, Traditional Kung Fu, Tai Chi & Qigong and Sanshou)
Morning Class: 9 to 11am
Afternoon Class: 3 to 5pm

Day 4 Beijing
Sightseeing Group: After breakfast visit Temple of Heaven, after lunch visit Tian anmen Square and Forbidden City, take rickshaw tour of Beijing Hutong. After dinner transfer to hotel.

Study and Train Group: (options: Wushu, Traditional Kung Fu, Tai Chi & Qigong and Sanshou)
Morning Class: 9 to 11am
Afternoon Class: 3 to 5pm

Day 5 Beijing
Sightseeing Group: After breakfast visit the Summer Palace, the biggest imperial garden in China, maybe practice Tai Chi for 1 hour in the palace, after lunch, travel to airport, and take flight (CA1385 18:20 – 20:30) to Xiangfan. Upon arrival meet our local guide, and transfer direct to Wudangshan hotel (2 hours).

Study and Train Group: (options: Wushu, Traditional Kung Fu, Tai Chi & Qigong and Sanshou)
Morning Class: 9 to 11am

Day 6 Beijing
After breakfast, visit Wudang Kung Fu & Tai Chi school, after lunch, transfer to the mountain and check in to Wudang hotel in afternoon.

Day 7 Wudang
Morning study & training session (Wudang Tai Chi-Sanfeng Form)
Afternoon sightseeing: visit Purple Cloud Temple.

Day 8 Wudang
Morning study & training session (Wudang Tai Chi-Sanfeng Form)
Afternoon sightseeing: visit Nanyan Palace and other scenic spots

Day 9 Wudang
Morning study 7 training session (Wudang Tai Chi-Sanfeng Form)
Afternoon sightseeing: visit Princes Slope and other scenic spots.
Wudang Kung-Fu show and walking

Day 10 Wudang /
Free activities in the morning, after lunch transfer to train station, take an overnight train (K280 at 17:37) back to Beijing.

Day 11 Beijing
upon arrival at lunch time (12:35), pick up at the train station, transfer to hotel rest, lunch and dinner are not provided.

Day 12 Beijing
Study and Train Group: (options: Wushu, Traditional Kung Fu, Tai Chi & Qigong and Sanshou)
Morning Class: 9 to 11am
Afternoon Class: 3 to 5pm

Day 13 Beijing
Today is a free day that allows you to rest, do some shopping or make a journey to explore some other sites that you might be interested. Breakfast is provided in the hotel, but lunch and dinner are not provided that you can try to order some local Chinese dishes by yourself it’s a great experience.

Day 14 Beijing
After breakfast, transfer to Beijing Capital International Airport.

 

Extension trip to Xian Terracotta Warriors

Day 10 Wudang / Xian
Free activities in the morning. After lunch take a bus journey to Xian (4 hours), upon arrival, meet our local guide and transfer to hotel, after dinner rest at hotel.

Day 11 Xian
After breakfast, visit Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, City tour - Drum Tower. Stay at Xian Gudu Hotel

Day 12 Xian
Breakfast, after lunch visit The Ancient City Wall, Big Mosque and have a walk around at the mosque area, lunch, Take overnight train Z20 (20:16 – 7:17am) after dinner.

Day 13 Beijing
Upon arrival in the morning, transfer to hotel for rest, and a free day for self exploration or some shopping or just relax with a massage. Farewell Dinner with Certificate Presentation.

Day 14 Beijing / 14th April 2010
After breakfast, transfer to airport after breakfast, and take flight back to London.

Trip Fee Includes:

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off: Meet all the participants at the airport, transfer to hotels and take you back to the airport once the trip finished.

Welcome Pack: Including Trip badge, Beijing map, local magazine, itinerary, timetable, emergency contact numbers, plus the locations of amenities such as pubs, supermarkets and post office.

SCIC Trip Souvenirs: All participants will be given one selected Chinese present and one SCIC T-shirt as souvenirs for each trip, sports and camp program.

Orientation Day: Participants will be taken on a brief tour around the hotel and then on a more extensive walking tour of the neighborhood so you can orientate yourself and make the most of local facilities.

Study Certificate: All participants will be given a certificate on the study course and workshops.

Standard Meals & Beverages: All meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) are mentioned on the itinerary. Breakfast in the hotel is generally buffet style with a choice of both Western and Chinese food, but lunches and dinners in local restaurants are mostly Chinese. Plus a wonderful welcome dinner and the farewell party.

Accommodation: Participants will stay at either 3 or 4 star hotels depending on the location of the activities taking place during your visit in China. Standard rooms have one double or twin beds, air-conditioning, en suite shower / bath room and satellite television. Some hotels offer facilities such as choice of restaurants and pubs, a health and fitness club with gym, Jacuzzi, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, massage, bowling, table tennis and games room.

All sightseeing, study and cultural activities: all activities mentioned on the itinerary including cultural classes, local activities and sightseeing programs.

Transportation: Our private coach and driver will be provided during your trip in China for safe and pleasant transport to and from the hotels and to every place where the activities take place, such the historical sites, training places, downtown Beijing and the train station.

Flights & Train in China: All the train journeys and flights mentioned on the itinerary are included in the trip. Short train journeys will be in first class, long flights will be in economic class.


Program Fee Does Not Include:

Chinese Visa: Chinese visas can be easily applied for 3 months prior to the trip. This can be done by visiting the Visa Office or Chinese Embassy in your home country, or by post. We will provide all the information and documents for your visa application. More info

Travel Insurance: For the purposes of flight cancellation and medical expenses for your trip. You will be responsible for arranging proper cover with the insurance companies or travel agencies in your home country.

Flight Tickets to China: Our trip programs do not include the return flights from your home country, so flight tickets should be obtained by yourself or the group leader or school teacher prior to departure. For booking requirements and cheap flights, please click here.

Tips for Tour Guides and Drivers: It is customary in the travel sector to tip the tour guides and bus drivers for their services. Generally tipping of 1 English pound or 2 dollars per day per person is recommended, but there is no obligation to do this. You can tip them according to the services they provide.

Personal Expenses: Our trip fees do not include extra expenses that are not mentioned on the itinerary.
